Undoubtedly, you would arrive early and be the first one to raise your hand to share what Your Love has meant to you on a personal level. Imagine it: a large picture of Your Love greets you at the entrance and a video reel of all of his/her good deeds is on a replay. One by one, people raise their hands to share their intimate feelings about YOUR LOVE. You sit anxiously and smile as you realize they all loved Your Love in the same way that you did. You look forward to taking the floor so that you can join in their expressions and provide a much more personalize account.
This scene is what occurs every Sunday morning in churches of Christ across this great nation. People gather to share how they feel about Your Love, the King of Kings, Jesus. The church is the bride of Christ, so in fact, each Sunday is an engagement party of sorts. You have made a commitment to be united with your bridegroom and you delight in the very thought of how someone so great could ever love such a wretch like you. Well, He does and He always will. This indeed is cause for a lovely jubilee! Each week, your intimate commitment is celebrated and the insurmountable love that Your Love has for you is highlighted for the entire world to see. Sunday is the big day you and Your Love have been preparing for all week; oh come, let us adore Him.

I dig this. It's a creative look at something that has become stale and mundane for so many of us, yet Christ said He makes all things new. So there's no reason why our Weekly Engagement Party shouldn't continuously be renewed. Keep on being awesome. You inspire me.
